The 50th class reunion for the 1960 graduates of Central Bucks High School is scheduled for the weekend beginning Friday October 15 through Sunday October 17.
Plans are for a Saturday, October 16 dinner/dance at the Doylestown Country Club. Additional events confirmed for reunion weekend include the Friday night home football game between West and East, an after-game mixer at Villa Capri in Doylestown; a Saturday morning tour of the high school; and a Sunday morning brunch at Chambers in Doylestown.
A committee of 15 graduates has been meeting every third Wednesday each month for the past half year. Of the 297 graduates from their class, 35 classmates have passed. “We’re still looking for 30 classmates and hope by publishing their names, someone out there can help us contact them”, states reunion coordinator Kathy (Turnicky) Seymour. Reunion committee member Mike Histand, who makes his home in Colorado, has set up a special website for alumnae to place biographies and photographs.
The committee members are Ann and Bill Bishop, Barbara (Beans) Foley, Joanne (Foster) Grant, Gwen (Jacobus) Greaser, Michael Histand, Cindy (Conro) Houghton, Jim Kreschollek, Liz (Stewart) Nicholas, Dieter Nitschke, Eileen (Fulmer) Rimmer, Dave and Kathy (Turnicky) Seymour, Doreen Stratton, and Pat Zion.
Central Bucks High School was built to house students residing in the newly created school district of the same name. The Class of 1960 has the distinction of being the third class to start 7th grade in the recently built school before graduating from the building six years later.

The planning committee met in March 08 and chose Friday, November 26, 2010 for the date of the reunion. We figured that was the best for people coming into town for Thanksgiving.
